Mencia

Mencía (similar to Cabernet Franc) is the indigenous variety of grape in the northwest of Spain,

its origins date back over a thousand years.

The character of the grape makes wines produced from them well worth discovering. They have

an intense raspberry color and a penetrating, fruity aroma overlaid with a delicate floral scent.

They also have a high alcohol content, good acidity, age well and have a characteristically velvet finish.

This grape produces wines that demonstrate all the strength and expressiveness of the land it comes from.

They are balanced and well-structured, with a full-bodied, lengthy aftertaste.
